IDWTP Episode 8- Put it in the Pudin'

The Penalty Shot: Maple Leafs: the team: the drink

Are you a Leafs fan tired of the recent performance, you know from 67' until now? Well here's a drink recipe to celebrate your boys in blue that seem to keep giving you the blues.

First , what you will need:

•      1/2 oz dry vermouth
•      1/2 oz top shelf (expensive) whiskey (preferably something Canadian/rye)
•      1 table spoon maple syrup (and said spoon)
•      20 dollars
•      sense of humour (optional)

How to make it:

1.       pour the dry vermouth into the shot glass
2.       use a spoon to pour the whiskey keeping it layered on top of the vermouth
3.       stir in the table spoon of maple syrup

How to drink it:

1.      Order the shot and regardless of how much they charge give them $20 for that authentic Air Canada Centre feel. If drinking at a home simply give the 20 to a friend to keep/destroy at their own discretion. If drinking in a public place your probably breaking the law so keep an eye out cops. If drinking at home alone you have a problem, consider this your intervention and we all love you, but your alcoholism is tearing this family apart. 2.      Toss back the shot and let the expensive whiskey remind you of how no matter what it cost it will never be nearly as much as an overpriced ticket to a game. Savour the dryness of the vermouth as it mirrors the nearly half century long drought they've had since they last held the cup. Taste the sweetness of the maple because it's one of the few flavours that can cut the bitterness of defeat.
